i think there is something wrong with my bios.

"Q: My board doesn't post, all the components power on, fans spin up, and everything sounds fine, but all i have is a blank black screen...
I was changing some bios settings related to the cpu or memory, and I couldn't save, it just froze, so I just rebooted, or powered off, and now it doesn't post! I've tried clearing the CMOS, and i've tested all the components in a working rig, So i'm pretty sure something is wrong with the board... WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BOARD?? and how do I fix it?

A: Well here is the good news, most likely your board, processor and memory are fine, and the problem lies with the BIOS.. now your thinking, well how do I fix that.. Well, the nForce 2 chipset has an exteremly picky bios, and if you change a setting that it doesn't like, the bios becomes corrupted, and the board won't post.

i got this board today.
i only managed to boot up 3 times.

first it managed to boot up.
it counted memory.
and i shuted it down because i wanted to put a screw on it.
then it wont boot.

after some hours i can boot it up again. but didn't have the keyboard plugged in. so i shuted it down again.
then it wouldnt boot.

after some hours again i managed to boot again.
this time i had my keyboard plugged.
and i came into bios.
i saved some basic changed and exit.
then it shuted down again.
and wont boot.

i think i got a currupted bios.
what can i do?

//xp 1800+
80 western digital
512 ddr twinmos ram
32 mb pci geforce//

Okay, this looks like a monologue to me, so let me butt in and ask a few questions.
You've disabled the floppy in the bootup sequence, right? Like floppy in the boot order, floppy seek, floppy swap and all that stuff.
Have you tried it with the bare minimum on accessories, like vid card only at first to see if you can get past that lockup, then add the hdd, then the cd drive, etc, etc.
Tried swapping ram into different slots?
Could the cmos battery possibly be dead? I've read about that on another post here, caused a lot of problems.
Where did you buy the board? If newegg, you can RMA and have a new one pretty quickly.
Yes, it should be 133 MHz, I hve no idea that would be...

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the speed displayed is just your memory speed, as by default it is detected automatically. Your CPU external clock is probably just at the default 100MHz. One thing you may want to check is that the CMOS clear jumper is not set to clear mode. Also, that screw that you installed, make sure you didn't screw it into one of those unshielded holes in the mobo, or that the board isn't shorting onto it. Try removing whatever screw you put in and try again.
