I have a large hdd and I would like to save some dvd's to the harddrive to watch later. I tried this just by copying the folder on the DVD into it's own partition, but now I can't figure out how to play it. Can anyone help?
What you would perhaps like to do is make an image of the entire dvd, then use some tool (eg. daemon tools) to mount the image to a virtual dvdrom drive and play it from there.

You need to use a program like Smart-Ripper, and then a program like PowerDVD that gives you the option of playing dvd files from a specific location on your hard drive. That's what I use.
