Voicestream and T-Mobile customers

I was wondering if you are getting spam?
It just recently started occuring on both my phones, and of course T-Mobile is useless in solving the problem and says I'll be responsible for any charges incured from the spam. They also have the ability to disable text messaging altogether, but they refuse to do that.
Their solution is to change our numbers, BUT IT'S SPAM, our specific numbers aren't targeted. I wanted to see if other customers were having this problem, if not I might consider changing numbers.

When I first signed up with Voicestream, I did receive a few spam text messages and phone calls from autodialers. However, these soon subsided afters the switch over to T-mobile was complete.

My theory is this happened due to flaws in network security while the database transfer was in process.

Haven't had one erraneous message in over a year now
