When summer hit my temps instantly hit a new high. My o/c chip that used to never get past 45 C Now idles at 45. Even worse my case temps were hitting 35C! That is hot inside tha case. I checked all my fans, cleaned all the filters, made sure everything looked fine. Case temps didn't change, 50C for the chip isn't bad considering it's 110F outside and my house has no A/C. But 35 for the case! I put my hand in there and it doesn't seem that hot. My heatsink is warm to the touch, and so is my video card, but the case really doesn't seem that hot.

I left the side panel off and I have been running it like that for 10 hours now. The CPU temp has gone down to 43C!! YEA! but my case temp is now at 39C!!! OMG! It's almost the same at my chip! How is this possible? Could my case really be THAT hot?

Could my temp probe (the one somewhere on the mobo) be damaged or reading wrongly?

It all seems to high.

Luckily I am switching to water-cooling.

Nothing? You guys dont think 38C is hot for inside a case with 8 x 80mm fans in it?

Yup seems hot to me, mine's at 24 C w/ 4 fans but it's only 70 F in here. I would also suspect the sensor.

You say it's 110F outside and no A/C in your house.
How warm is your room ? 100F ? 90F ?
Suppose it's 90F, consider that your 8 fans are blowing air at a temperature of 32C in the case. Add to that some heat generated by the components and you're easily at 35C or more.

Like BettaBuy said, you're recirculating hot air. Normally I run at M-31c and C-52c in an ACed room but I feel no concern about the temps. It's a job to cool off the XP palo though.
