Get two sticks of 256 ram so you can utilize the Dual Channel capability of the MB. I have the same one, the BIOS settings are easy enough. If you did run onto some problems, that's what we're here for!

I also second that about the pad, get some arctic silver III or something like it.

You should also increase the speed of your ram, 2700-3200.

I know, that stinks, but consider this. I did the same thing, got my paste from somewhere else and it took 2 extra days to get it. It doesn't get any better than newegg for reliability afaic.

Good catch JG, I totally missed that.

Are you going to be overclocking the PC? From the sounds of it you wont be... In that case i would not worry about getting #8 or #9.... Your buying a retail CPU, it will come with a heatsink+fan & thermal pad already applied.

And yeh, you will be wanting PC2700 ram to match up with the 166/333 FSB of the barton AthlonXP.

Nice rig,stan:

Looks like you'e put much thought into it, which is good planning on your part.
Yeah, that's the only thing I dislike about Newegg, is that the small items are so expensive to ship, and you don't get a break on that item even if you order other stuff.

Try www.Case-mod.com for the ASIII. If that's the only item, you will have a minimum shipping charge no matter where you buy.
I usually try to coordinate smalll item purchases so I order several items that I need or will use somewhere down the road, like extra case fans, fan extension cables, etc.

Good luck with that build.
