Quicker place to download Mandrake 9.1?

I'm downloading Mandrake 9.1 through www.linuxiso.org

I have a cable modem. I've only downloaded 56mb and it's been 3 hours. The entire 650 mb should download in about 3 hours.

Anyone know of a quicker website/ftp?

Actually I went there. Forgot to mention that. None of the US links work. It actually freezes my browser so I have to close down my browser.

I meant I went to www.mandrakelinux.com

Odd... perhaps because they're ftp links?

You could try replacing ftp://ftp. with http://www. in some of the mirror URLs and see if that works... Where are you downloading from?

Well www.linuxiso.org works but is so slow it would take my cable modem 2 days. The others www.mandrakelinux.com and http://www.linuxhelp.net/isos/#mandrake just don't work at all.

2 days on broadband? thats insane. i usually download from linuxiso late before i go to bed and it doesnt take more than an hour or so to get all 3 images but then again depends on a number of things like the site getting hammered, traffic, etc.

Well this morning it finished. Only took 10-16 hours. I should have just started it at night I guess once I found out how slow the connection is during the day.

Where do you live? That's ridiculous! You do realize you can pick more than one spot to download the ISO from correct?

ftp.rutgers.edu is almost always a speedy and up to date mirror. they mirror mandrake, redhat, gentoo, debian, and other open source projects like kde...
