There is no "best" email client, just the "best" for you

But I really like eudora, it can handle multiple email address/signitures and has a ton of features

I take it you're just trying to get to POP mail? Not MS Exchange or anything?

I use Opera M2 client. Takes a little getting used to but is pretty cool
(Includes a spam filter builtin )

To test the different mail clients you could connect to your email with each client but during configuration specifiy DO NOT DELETE messages from server after download.

That way all of them will be there for each client you try out.

Outlook is the most practical because it can check hotmail at the same time... that's the only reason I use it.

In general you shouldn't use Outlook though because it's made by MS meaning most spyware companies will target it. If some retard in your house installs Gator, I bet anything that it finds all the email addresses in Outlook and submits them to spam companies. I have no factual evidence of this but when I install things like Download Accelerator Plus it automatically fills in my email address, the first one listed in Outlook. I always change it to a fake email adress when I can, but think about the programs that never ask.
