NForce Sound Problem

I was using my new LANPARTY NF2 ultra and I was playing music for about 5-6 hours and all of the sudden the sound gets all choppy and static filled. I ended up restarting and it is fine now, but what could have caused this?

From what i have seen around on the net this is a pretty common problem with the nf2 boards...

In many cases mounting a heatsink on the southbridge has helped with this. In order cases it hasn't. In some cases using newer drivers helps, in others using older drivers helped.
