First Attempt At Mod

Well since I haven't been working in forever I've fooled around with my el cheapo case. It's not the best but got some practice & learned a lot. I still can't get a decent pic of it lit up though.

not bad the colors not my thing but it doesn't look to bad. One thing I do see is it looks like you didn't file down the edges of that window you cut. Looks like those might be sharp. I'd pack some band aids with ya if you plan on moving it.

Heh, best to start out with an "el cheapo" case though.

Interesting idea on the "free form" window, I don't recall seeing anybody doing that before now.

Looks awesome Mike, I like the "splash" look. I know I learned tons on my first mod, which was an old Compaq server case. By the way .. note to all future modders ... Don't use an old Compaq server case, as they are millmeter thick steel and you will burn through dremel pads like water Stick to a cheapo alum or steel.

Nice work! I'd go to the auto supply place and pick up some door trim to soften those edges on the window.

Yeah I'm heading there later today to check into that. I think it would help the look out a lot. I did file them & they aren't sharp but they look like it.

heh, good deal! I like it.

My mods usually consist of just taking a drill bit & drilling holes in various places on my case.... Not for any particular reason...

Nice job!! The cutout looks a bit like yoda to me...hmm...maybe a cross between yoda and gizmo.

hey - you try taking a pic of that w/o the flash, would be cool to see it lit up even if it was a "bad" pic...

Very nice job for your first time. I don't think the door trim would look good on that window. Just my oppinion. Try it and see. Do you have lights? What's next?
