Those very well may be the models at the moment, but for the final game the models will be dropped in detail (less polygons). Those models will probably be used for any FMV and also to help create bumpmaps etc... for the lower poly versions.

I'm a huge fan of Quake3. Although it would be kind of neat if they could combine Quake2 and 3 together.
It's been a long wait but some games down the road may keep me amused so it won't be bad waiting for a Q4.
