virus VBS/pica.worm.gen

I got this virus and it did all kinds of things to my computer, but am not sure exactly all the things it did. Anyone know what it does. Started out with after boot no FAT. Then scandisk says longfilename and could not install my win98se.
How many levels must i go down to be sure its gone?
McAfee says "When this Visual Basic Script virus is executed it copies itself to %windir%\fonts\ttfload.vbs" and makes the following registry modivications, also worm pings IP addresses.
Do i dare copy files from this hd to another? Am unfamiliar with worms. tnx, bill

Hmmm it doesn't seem to do much more than spread.

Found a source that says it copies a file called C:\windows\system\vb1.com.vbs that needs to be deleted, and registry entry
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run \Lee needs to be deleted.

But if you completely reinstalled, just don't double click any vbs files again and you should be ok
(given you're not copying over your windows\system folder! )
