Systems Ftp server linksys router PLEASE HELP PLZ

Someone please help me with this ive been working on this damn thing for a month now . ok ... I have 3 pc's on my network , under run>command>ipconfig the ip address says it is "192.168.1.103" which i assume is the inetrnal addy which i will use .... I am runnning Win XP pro and Linksys router .... The ftp server I am attempting to install it Bulletproof Ftp 2.15 ... now , heres the prob ... everything i have tried i still recieve this error message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." ... the most frustrating thing is i had these working for like 2 days, i shut it down turn it back on and walla not working .... anyway heres three pics to the settings which i have changed ...

You need to make sure you're forwarding port 21 (or whichever port you're setting it up on) to your machines local IP, which is 192.169.1.103

then you need to have anyone you want to connect to it connect to your real IP address, try http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ for that.

Any firewall software running on the machine as well? Can you ftp localhost:8888?

You fixed it:

[root@balder root]# ftp 68.59.xx.xxx 8888

530 Login or Password incorrect.

edit to obscure IP

You may want to edit/remove the pic with your IP on it just to be safe. What did you do to fix it?

well

well it was alrdy fix i assume .... i just used the wrong port in the ftp browser ... only prob is i dont know how i fixed it i followed the manual online, but ive followed it before the same way, correct port and it still not wrking .... i hate my router, heh , wish i had a dc to the internet

Make 1 PC DMZ and you get the same effect as a direct connection. But, you lose all the security the router provides.

its not thhat bad

well heh , a router isnt that bad for what u described i need another pc, even if its a cheap pc thats still more than most routers.... you could still have security that way , set up proxies on that and install a few firewalls but u still dont have the good physical firewall like one installable on a router ... so , the negatives out way the postives ..
