Router connection

You don't need crossover cable to connect the router to the cable modem? You can use regular cable can't you?

as I said in your other thread, it depends on the router, and the situation it's in...sometimes it needs it but most likely not.

Yes, you only need a crossover cable when you connect 2 pc's directly together.

Or when you connect to hubs/switches together not using the uplink port. Router to modem is normally a straight patch cable.
