Media Asus A7N8X 400 FSB support bios update

Asus A7N8X bios update for 1.06 and earlier versions

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but if it has, I didn't notice it...........anyhow, latest bios update for A7N8X both standard and deluxe versions adds 400 FSB support..........gotta give credit to Asus rather than stickin us earlier version owners without 400 FSB support unless we bought a version 2.0.......

Thanks shawn. I was wondering the same thing. I have a version 1.06. so I should be able to flash the bios and get it to where it'll run w/ a 400Mhz FSB?

Thanks!

This basically just adds support that tells you what it is...we've always had the 200mhz or 133/166mhz jumper...so technically there was always "support"

the only thing is the chipset doesn't officially support 400mhz FSB...it does work with it though.

Okay, can I do this with no floppy? I've not gotten around to getting one yet. Also, I can't get into the EZ Flash by pressing Alt F2. Is it b/c you have to have a floppy for it or what? It just sits there until I either hit Esc at which point it continues from the OS or I hit Del to enter BIOS
