Another 9700 HELP thread

I just got my Powercolor 9700. And I installed it the way you are suppose to and in my device manager it comes up as a 9700/9500 series. In the book it says it should come up as 9700. I cant get gpu readings form adai32. I have totaly reinstalled it too. Help me.

IT isnt' wrong that it is labeled 9700/9500. The 9500 was based on the 9700 with just a few features disabled and a slower clock and memory speeds. They're of the same architecture, so you shouldn't worry, you got a legitimate 9700.

I know I got a leget one but just wondering why it says that thankz. So it's correctly installed?

it says that because the 9500 IS a 9700, except with some features turned off and lower clock and memory speeds. Basically, they're of the same family, I think its correctly installed, why don't you run some benchmarks and see what kind of scores you get and compare that to other 9700 scores, then you'll really know for sure.
