1.10 worth it or not?

He's refering to the 1.10 beta patch for Diablo 2 I'm assuming.

I have it installed and it's really interesting so far. They include a program to revert back to 1.09d specs if you want to play on bnet again, so there's no worries about reinstalling. Actually I haven't reverted yet, I've been linking up tcp/ip games with my friends. v1.10 has a lot of potential for new builds, you should check it out.

And if you weren't refering to the Diablo 2 v1.10 patch, whoops! lol

Yes he was definetely referring to the Diablo2 v1.10 patch.
I haven't tried it out yet. I am afraid I will re-install Diablo2 and get addicted again.

I think i would play if it was with some people over tcp/ip but single player bores me to death =(

edit-- to satisfy gohan I guess I better give an actual response to the thread...

I've got mixed opinions about the 1.10 patch. I know that the patch is making alot of changes, which is going to be neccesary to attempt to revive the game. I think the diehard diablo 2 players will love it, I used to be one myself about a year and a half ago, but this patch has been announced over a year ago. I think they practically could have made an expansion pack in the time its taking them to do this patch. I myself might try it out some, but I feel that enough people have such a disinterest in the game that 1.10 isnt going to bring it back for them.

Is it worth it? Will just depend on each particular person

VHockey, there are forums you know, if you check the Single Player forum at DiabloII.net then you will find many people that play single player.

I think the new patch will be fine except for classes using each others skills.
