well yeah you can however its illegal. Your supposed to use a new product key on each computer.

Your not really saving your self much in the way of time in doing it this way anyways. You'd still have to go through all the same steps with the exception of the actual install, aand you'd have to go through some other steps and there's more possibility of errors

Send a message via AIM to Siliconjunkie
And you can get into a real driver mess, always old ones hanging around.

First off...no it's not illegal, depending on how you do it

Legally here's how you do it.

First off, if the hardware is different (mobo/cpu/video mainly) DO NOT do it...it makes the OS ridiculously slow because it's got a whole other set of drivers for the system it WANTS to use.

If you do have a line of computers that are all the same (say for a school, business, etc) ... you can install it, and make an image to install on all the system...just make sure you sell a lisence to that OS and any software on the image for EVERY system.

Yes, you can do it. It helps if the hardware is identical but if not, install it on one machine and don't install drivers, and before it says "Starting Windows 9x for the first time..." image it. Then it will let you setup names, passwords and hardware on each machine. Hint, the computer name, owner name and cd key are all in the windows registry.
