dremel bit???????

hey i recently did some dremeling to the family pc to make it a little quieter by takeing out those pesky holes blocking fan airflow. i used a dremel but my only problem is the bit i was using wore down REAL quick, i didnt no witch bit to use but my freind said to use the wide flat circular one thats sorta like hard sand paper (i hope thats a good enough description) so i used it and i had to replace the bit thingy MANY times. help!!!!!!

Not sure who sells em, but only solution (aside from using alot of bits) is just to get a bit made out of harder metal... same as buying titanium plated drill bits for cutting steel

Yeah thats the downside to them, you go through them VERY fast. You could try the fiberglass coated cutting blades. They are the ones that look kind of bluish, I think its been awhile. Anyway, I have attached a pic of the one I am talking about.

I used one of those on my case a while ago cuz i was out of regular cut off bits and it worked wonders, it's a lot wider than the regular cutoff bits but the only reason it broke was cuz i accidentally sat on it.. other than that it helped me cut 3 80mm holes in my case plus some miscellaneous trimming here and there and showed little sign of wear.

I gave up on the standard cutting discs years ago! I only use the Fiberglass reinforced ones. They last much longer. Another thing to try. I found these cutting discs at a Pep Boys. They're those diamond cutting discs. They were in the tool section. There were about 5 discs plus the shaft in a little blister pack. I've used them a few times, and they work great! I got some at Harbor Freight tools the other day, too.
