Diagnostic Beeps
I have a machine that won't boot up after an electrical storm, but a good sign is that it's giving diagnostic beeps. The problem with that is that I don't have any manuals for the machine.
It gives one long, then two short beeps upon startup and the display is blank.

Any ideas? Do I need to know the mobo brand, cause I don't....

You need to know the BIOS brand.
If it is Award that code means:1 long, 2 short is Video adapter error - Either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. Also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly
