Error problems

I keep getting this error when trying to open IE.I have to click on open to get to the internet.Also it seems a great number of things will cause explorer to crash.

I have Dr Watson running,and have some logs if that will help. My main concern is this attachment.What would cause me to keep getting it.Am I just headed for another format

I'm running Win 98 SE
IE6

TIA

It acts as if your file types are screwed up, and when clicking on an html IE attempts to download it (thats a typicaly prompt for right click/save as for files other than images/movies

can u try and fix IE maybe?

someone told me to try this on XP to fix IE once
start-> run -> sfc /scannow
this requires the XP cd.

there might be something similar for Win98SE. i vaguely remember there used to be an option to 'repair' IE when u tried to uninstall it from Control Panel
