Notebook RAM question

Say i wanted to get one of those clevo machines, and later i wanted to add another 512 ram chip.

One, does this void out the warranty since ive opened the machine myself?

Two, what is notebook ram conisered. like 184-pin? so if i was searching on newegg for it what would i type in?

It'll be 144pin if its sd-ram or 200pin if it's ddr-ram, Laptop ram is called an SODIMM.

It'll be 144pin if its sd-ram or 200pin if it's ddr-ram, Laptop ram is called an SODIMM. Usually newer laptops have a cover on the bottom for upgrading ram so you don't have to take them completely apart and it that case it probably won't viod your warranty, but if you dop have to take the whole case apart you can bet that you'll kiss you warranty goodbye.\

Sorry about the double post
