Sticky mouse and keyboard...

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me? I have a DELL computer that works fine when you first turn it on. After about 2 or 3 hours, the mouse and keyboard will start to act "sticky" or "jerky" or will have a delayed reaction when moving and/or typing. But as soon as you reboot the system it will function fine for the next few hours again. Then it happens all over again.

Specs are:

PIII 500
128 RAM
Win 98SE
20GB HD

I thought it might be a "heat" problem, so I removed the side cover and placed a house fan blowing on the inside of the computer and it still did it? I also cleaned the keyboard and mouse. I also ran my antivirus, scandisk and defrag. Everything was good....

Anyone ever heard of this? Could it be my hard drive or is it my mobo??

THanks for the help!

Sounds like it may be getting low on resources.Next time it does this check and see what % system resources are left.
