GTA Vice City for the PC is 500x better than the PS2 version

Have you read the reviews for it? It looks sweet. They got rid of a lot of the annoying crap the PS2 version had, and plus it looks better.

I never played the PS2 version...but 500x better? The PS2 version must have sucked a$$ then. lol.

Not saying that the PC version is bad...it's a fun game definitely, but there's some things I think they should have done for the PC. Mainly being able to change your screen resolution...I mean who plays at 640x480 anyways?!?! I've got a fairly decent system setup and it totally sucks that I can't max out my video card on this game. lol.

Just my .02

Yeah the res goes up to 1600x1200x32 I'm thinking of picking that game up as well. Loved GTA, GTA2, GTA3, and now hopefully vice city.

i've tried both the ps2 and pc version and didn't notice a huge diff, but i guess it's because i didn't play the ps2 vc for very long.

Yes, it is sweet. I like the PC version better mainly for the seemingly much quicker in-game load times. There are some other minor differences like the opening movie ( does not show on ps2 version?) and some scenery, but otherwise not much.
