Adobe gamma?
ok I installed adobe photoshop7 on my computer and the display setting in the control panel has changed to adobe gamma? WTH is that? I have XP pro and I would like to know what happened thanks in advance.

Surely someone here uses photoshop 7 is this normal for it to change the didplay in the control panel. It says this control panel will allow you to calibrate your monitor and create an ICC profile for it?

Well thanks for the reply anyways silicon I am afraid to run anything I am noy familiar with but it does not seem to bother anything else.

still looking for an answer maybe not tonight but I an really curious about what this is ? Thanks again for any replies

Adobe gamma is a program for setting the gamma on your monitor (hence the name ). By default it is installed in place of you old display control panel when you install Photoshop. You should be able to access your old display functions but right clicking on a blank spot on your desktop then select properties.
