A7N8X No performance increase dual channel DDR
I was running an Asus A7N8X Deluxe with a generic 2700 memory and upgrading to a Corsair TwinX 3200 did not change anything as far as SANDRA is concerned even though now the bios shows dual channel mode during boot.
What´s wrong . Me , Asus or dual channel ?

What about where you put the ram? What channel(s) did you put them in? In order to utilize the DCDDR, it should be in 1 & 3 or 2 & 3.

Ok, is your memory speed and FSB speed sync'd?
Basically, there's only so much memory bandwidth that the Athlon XP's can use, and anything beyond that is wasted. If you have the memory running at 200MHz and the FSB at 133 or 166, then your memory scores will actually be WORSE than running in sync. It's all due to latencies between the memory bus and CPU bus. Basically, the only real reason to use 3200 RAM in an Athlon XP system that runs at either 133 or 166MHz FSB is for overclocking purposes. The Corsair memory is very good at running at high speeds with low latencies.

Thank you all for the tips.
I am using the memory on the blue slots 2 and 3 and bios says now that dual channel is enabled.
I found out that running the memory at 333 gave me a better benchmark on Sandra, using SPD sets. and "agessive mode" on the BIOS.
Does anyone nows the (for fast response time) best "manual" values for RAS, CAS etc.. For that memory that I could try ?

If you don't overclock the system you might be able to get 5-2-2-2 out of them (from top to bottom) ... that last 2 being Cas Latency 2
If it won't do that though it will to 6-3-3-2

Poopeyhed2,
you probably mean slot 1+2 or 1+3 or 1+2+3, at least, that is what my manual says.
I am having the same problem with my A7N8X, I went back to the store to get my new mobo, since my 2nd and 3rd dimm slot were defect.
I got the new one no questions asked and it works fine, running 2Ghz now, with 400Mhz fsb and 2 x 256Mb PC3200 on Dual channel.
But when I benchmark it, it even scores a bit lower then my ram did on single channel.
My bios is updated to the latest, I am using the correct slots, and everything seems to be okay, but the scores are waaayyy too low.
Is there anything in the bios I have to set to enable dual channel bandwidth??

AFAIK, you should have one stick in the "lonely" one, and another stick in the paired to in order to have DCDDR. It has been noted that the ASUS manual didn't clearly identify it.
BTW - what kind of scores are you getting? Like 3dmark.

I have mine running at dual channel ram, placing the sticks into slot 2 and slot 3(which are the blue dual channel slots) worked for me.
