Best 3rd-party PC TV Software?

It appears that the viewing/capture/recording/etc software that came with my WinFAST TV2000 XP Deluxe is a little buggy... in my previous thread i rambled about a "kkush" sound heard when flipping channels. Alas, I've decided my best route around this is to simply find another software application.

So any suggestions? Which software is the best as far as watching TV conveniently?

I already did a search and didn't find any useful information, so please refrain from flaming me
