Its the type i assume u have an old system preferably a PII. This comp has a PC100 stock PC133 i think is better countin by the numbers. If u building a system id suggest a PC3200 atleast id recommend PC3500 or PC3700 if u have the money. Corsair is a brand everybody suggests. What do u mean by registered and non registered ? Stick around the forums and ull learn real quick, dont be afraid to ask thats y we're here.

"Registered memory is a specific form of memory designed to support a larger number of chips on a given memory module. To allow for all the memory chips on the module to properly function, it is necessary for the module to add a delay to all command requests to the memory. This will decrease the overall performance of a given memory module. The memory type is typically used in large server environments where large amounts of RAM are required. In these environments, the benefits of the increase in RAM outweigh the performance impacts caused by memory swapping. Memory swapping, also referred to as virtual memory, is the function of a computer using the hard disk to store system memory when there is insufficient physical memory."

Ok now I am ready and I need to know if a 64mb stick of memory marked PC100 322-620 (cubig) will work in my e-machine mobo mobo manual says it supports:
*3.3 V and unbuffered 168-pin DIMM
*100MHz unbuffered SDRAM (PC100)
*Non-ECC memory only
*Single or double-sided DIMM with the following types (per side):
then gives a table that reads for 64mb:
*64MB 8*(8M * 8bit)
*64MB 4*(8M * 16bit)

table has for 8MB through 128MB but I am only interested in the 64mb right now. I don't know if this stick is ECC or not since I am ignorant about DIMM and SDRAM

Thanks
