No IE connection

I can't seem to connect to the web. I've spent hours (yes hours) with my DSL provider - they have tested the line and claim that it is working great. They can read a signal up to the modem but not through the network card. I have tested the network card and it too is working great. I have even tried to connect through AOL dialup but can't connect to a web site. Any ideas?

What os are you using? Can you ping your ISP's DNS server? Can you post either a "winipcfg" (if the OS is win95,98, or Me) or "ipconfig /all" if its W2K or XP.

Meese,

Thanks for the reply. I just spoke to a buddy and I think the problem is AdWare related. I have a fix I'm going to try later tonight. If that doesn't do it, I'll fire back. FYI, I'm running XP and I did ping my isp ok.

Send a message via Yahoo to muno
When ping works fine but ie doesn't, it's almost certain that it's dns related. Either you aren't receiving them correctly through dhcp or you've configured them wrong.
(to test that, you should try connecting to an ip address instead of a dns name)
Eg. 216.239.53.101 is the ip of www.google.com
-M
