Format, XP install

I want to format my hard drive with a fresh install of XP.

How do I do it?

I would boot from the WINXP cd and format from there. You will get options like repair and stuff just skip the repair part until you see the partitions on the bottom You can delete those partition and create a new partion it will say RAW then click on that partition and it will ask you do you want to format NTSF<----eek I forgot or FAT32 Choice the NTSF and format once it has completed formatting it will automatically start installing WINXP


Sorry my brain is dead this eveing cant even think start been working three weeks straight finally getting a few days after working thursday night shift No help short staffed WHICH!! SUXS!! But look at the bright side PAYCHECK OOOO YEAH!!!

so i just put the winxp cd in and reboot?

Ya but be sure to boot off the cd. And install with a fresh copy of windows when it asks if you want to repair windows. You upgrading or what?

you have to go into your bios and change to boot sequence set the first boot to CDrom and then save that and exit the comp will reboot make sure you have the CD in the Cdrom and when it starts to read your CD it will say do you want to boot from CD hit enter and just follow steps from there

or just hit what ever your choose boot device is. You dont have to change your bios if you have.
