Systems system tweaking

Just got the new comp up and running, I'm installing drivers and i noticed this. my athlon 2500+ barton is running slower than my athlon 2000 TB!!! how do I fix this. I don't even have the problem other people have with the barton processor saying "prossusor." I don't wanna OC my processor but i would think it would run faster out of the box than my other processor. If I have to update my BIOS I'm going to need help doing that.

My board is an Asus A7N8X
CPU is an AMD Athlon 2500/333 Barton
2 x Crucial 512 pc2700

Either in bios or by jumpers on the mobo.

FSB should be (right?) 166MHz on that barton, if it's running at 1.1GHz it might be set for 100MHz x 11.
