Need Help, Newbie here Attempting to change case.

Hello my fellow TechIMO'ers. I've been contemplating on whether or not to change the case of my computer for better cooling and decided to do it. However, I have never attempted to do so before and was wondering if anyone here can refer me to a site or guide me through the process. I have done all the minor things with my comp such as adding Ram, vid cards, network cards, changing heatsinks, etc. I am hoping changing a case would not be too difficult. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So, you're going to buy a whole new case? That would be a great idea. Remember things like: Aluminum stays cooler, do you need room for expansion?, do you want a case with a window already in it?, do you prefer a certain color? How much did you want to spend? Take a look at some of my cases on my site if you like.

Howdy Isolate.

Changing cases isn't hard. Just remember that what comes out of one case has to fit into the other!!

So make sure the new case will take your size/type of mobo, has the right number of bays for your drives, etc, etc. And if you get a new power supply with the new case, amke sure it's rated high enough for all your stuff.

If you're not sure on any of this, then ask here, as someone will know the answer.

I think Tom's Hardware had a video on case fitting out somewhere. I'll see if i can find it. It's pretty easy, just a matter of screwing it all together (with a few minor gotchas).

Cheers
Mick
