Processor and Power Supply question

I recently ordered a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz 800 fsb processor. Currently I have a case with a P4 comptaible 350w power supply for my P4 1.5 Ghz (old). I'm not sure whether or not I need to buy another power supply for the new processor. Any help welcome.

Well, as always, the answer is "depends"...depends on what all else is in the system...if you have a fat 8x vid card plus a couple hard drives and a couple optical drives...well then you sorta of see the need for a bigger power supply.

I notice these small form factor cases that are all the rage right now, I see they have 200w supplies, lol.

Then again, power supplies are getting cheaper lately so since youve spent some serious jack on the cpu etc, why not bump up to a nice 450-500 watt supply as well?

mainly look for weird reboot or lockup type problems if youre worried about the supply being underpowered.
