Gaming Very weird RH9 problem

If I use the graphical RPM program anymore, my mouse and keyboard will die. The computer will continue to run but I won't be able to type or move the mouse. I messed up Mozilla so I went to remove it through the add/remove programs thing that comes with redhat. As soon as the window popped up, my mouse and keyboard died. The progress indicator went up and the program did load normally. Even the buddy icon on GAIM was still animated. What could the problem be?

That's from when it happened again today. I'm going to try using my mouse and keyboard through the ps/2 ports to see if it happens then.

Got it fixed. Linux apparently didn't like my USB keyboard. Everything is working fine with a ps/2 keyboard and USB mouse.

hello,
good to see you have it solved - anywho - if you were to run depmod -a it may fix this issue.
