i just installed vector linux the other day (its based on slackware
) yeah, and i managed to get most things up and running, but i still cant figure out how to installl my modem (well i ve got an idea) so i got scanmodem and went to the website it directed me to. then i downloaded the generic rpm. but wen i run it it comes up with a bunch of errors and then it behaves as if everything went great, so i decided to play along and i configured it, it seemed to go nicely, but linux still doesnt detect my modem!
oh yeah, help me people
