Hi, is it possible in Win Xp to transfer files from a laptop to a desktop computer, instead of burning all the materials that i need...And if so can someone explain to me how i can do this?

Do you have network cards in both?
If not you can use something called LinkMaven

you could network, or just email or put the files on some webspace and share them that way.

You can connect using USB and transfer files really easily

if they both have a network card, i would use a crossover cable, easy fast!
do these PCs have the same OS?

Yes, my computer and laptop both have Win Xp pro, so if i follow your advices, can i transfer almost any file over to eachother?
They are both connected to a U.S. robotics router.
