Opinions on Maxtor 120GB 8MB Cache drive
The model number is L01P120. Does anyone have experience with this hard drive? How's the noise level on this thing? How's the drive quality and performance vs. other similar drives? Thanks.

I've had mine since they first came out, and have not had any problems with it.
Great drive. Its now my main drive in my new system.

I've got one also, not much noise coming from it, and it's pretty fast.

although it runs hoter than my other maxtor 60gig.

other than that.. it's great.

Mine is hotter than the 160GB 8MB Maxtor I've got but in the 3 months I've so far been using it I haven't had any problems with it.

I haven't had my Maxtor 120 for very long. The Hdd is fast runs at
a reasonable temp. My Hdd is a little noisey. Sounds like I'm popping popcorn.
