windows xp and blue screens out of nowhere?!

My brother recently just had 2 blue screens and i had to restart my computer twice. Any suggestions on what caused the problems and hwo to avoid them? Thanks.

P.S.- it's one of those dell dimension 8300's so i'm not sure what the specs are. My dad got it for him for his birthday.

He has this computer.

http://www.dell.com/us/en/dhs/produc...dimen_8300.htm

He bought it as 2.6ghz, 512mb, 60gb hdd, and geforce 4 mx vid card 64mb. He also said that he installed a language pack just now. Could that have been the problem and inteferred with windows' folder?
