Some questions I have

Here's what's going on with my new build. I purchased all new components for my 1st time ever build. Installed all the hardware and Win XP Pro without a hitch. I'm quite suprised how easy everything went and I'm glad I learned a thing or two. So everything works like a charm for about a week then.....BSOD's! I can't figure out what caused them. Here are 3 of them that I've been getting:

Error Sig: LSA Shell
szappname:LSASS.EXE
szappver:5.1.2600.1106
szmodname:rpcrt.dll
szmodver:5.1.2600.1106
offset:000072cc
(this is what it tells me when I click details)

another one:
driver_irlq_not_less_than_or_equal
(at least I think it's saying this as I can't read it fast enough)

last one:
page fault in non-paged area

I should mention that like I stated above, everything ran fine for a week UNTIL I installed Nero 5.5 and Spybot S&D. About 10 minutes after installing the two apps, I started getting these BSOD's. Why would this be or is it somehow a pure coincedence?
At any rate, it got to where I had to restart and when windows loaded to user loging screen, my passwords were invalid all of a sudden! I'm really stumped by this by now. So I restart again and now my password works but within 5 minutes no matter what I'm doing I eventaully get those same BSOD's. I've checked all my settings, updates to the latest service pack and updated all drivers for all components. Still BSOD's. So I try booting into windows last known good configuration and guess what - still the same old BSOD's. I looked in the event viewer to examine my error logs and it pretty much tells me the date and time and the errors that occured but I don't know enough about XP Pro (i'm coming from 98se btw) to glean any information from this. So as a last resort (or so I thought) I got to recovery console and try to have windows repair itself. But in the final stages, after all components are installed and all that, guess what?!?! Those damned BSOD's crop up again. So as an absolute last resort I do a fresh format and install of window. At least now I know it's not a hardware problem (at least I don't think it is) because now everything is running smoothly the way it should. Now I ask you all what went wrong? What can I do to prevent this from happening again? Any advice on setting up XP Pro properly? I'm coming from 98se so it's a big leap for me. Another question I'd like to ask is when I intalled Nvidia's all in 1 or 4 in 1 drivers and then go to ide/atapi properties so check that dma is enabled, there is no advanced setting tab! So now with this new xp install I chose not to install the all in 1 drivers and use the native windows drivers instead. Now I have the advanced setting tab and can verify DMA mode. Am I missing out on anything by not using the all in 1 drivers? Lastly I have not installed my graphic card drivers because I want to know is it best to just download the latest detonator drivers? I ask this because I see no point in installing what came on disk and then downloading the lastest. Is this a bad idea? Here's what I have:

Soltek 75-FRN2-RL Nforce2 mainboard
Amd XP2500
Chaintech FX5200 Ultra (I know, not too good)
420w Uneec PS (came with case and it's amd aproved)
Western Digital Special Edition 80gig 8mb cache
2x256 Kingston pc3200 cl2.5
Asus 52X24X52 cd-rw

I had my cpu overclocked to 200x10.5 with stock hs and fan and ran at 32c idle and 46c at full load. uped my vcore fro 1.65 to 1.7 and my vdd to 1.7 to get everything stable. Changed my latency timings from 8-3-3-3 to 7-3-3-2.5 and everything ran smooth. Could go quite a bit higher with this board and cpu easy but didn't want to push my luck with the stock hs. Now however I cleared my cmos and have everything at default. DO any of you think my oc'ing could have caused this? I really don't see how because it seems the BSOD's were software related but I'm not an expert (just try to be sometimes). Anyone have and ideas or suggestions to throw my way? I appreciate all replies.

Kids

Have you tried "System Restore" to get back before you installed the software the obliously caused your problems?? Did you install 98 first then upgrade or was this a clean install ??
