A friend of mine was playing a pc game and started to mess with the video card settings to make fps in game higher. he said everything was working fine until he notice that he had the possibility to pick 170 of refresh rate so he did. now my monitor wont even turn on during load of windows. i have a 19' ibm e94 model monitor i have a 1.8mhz with geforce 4 ti4600 video card. ive taken the whole pc apart even took out the battary of mother board to see if that would reset the refresh rate back to defualt but nothing its been days and i cant figure this out. does anyone know how to fix this problem. my monitor still works fine on other pc 's and macs its just start fine with my pc and once loading starts of windows it just goes standby. plz email me at omar.mosquera@verizon.net thank you.
thanks for the reply thats another problem i have i keep turning comp off and on to get that mode but the damn computer wont give me that choice it just keeps starting like nothing happen. or em I doing something wrong. is there a special key or way to boot in save mode. can I get that safe mode by putting in a windows xp cd?
