XP & SP1

i uninstalled SP1 but after the uninstall was done, the system went on restarting itself many many times....

i also tried to stop it from restarting by going in safe mode but it does not start in safe mode either.....

any suggestions on how to get the all imortant outlook data file and documents out without a second computer....

Recovery console might help.

If not, you might have to reinstall xp over itself (do this by not overwriting the fs).

There should also be a repair option in xp install which might also help.

i had to format the system after coping the stuff to another partition....

thankfully i had enabled the floppy copy and full access from recory console in the local security policy....
