WIndows Media Player on my TV

I have an ATI Radeon 8500. With my TV hooked up to my video card with an S-Video cable, everything works right except when I try to play videos on windows media player they only show as black on the TV? Any ideas how to fix this? My laptop has a different video card and does the same thing. Thanks!

you have to set the tv as the primary display in your video card settings for it to work
