Any IWD2/Near Infinity Experts?

I have been playing IWD2 for a couple of weeks now. Made it as far as Chapter 3. Once I complete the "Children" quest I can't get the quest from Kurttu because she isn't there. Off on vacation or something I guess. Yes, I know where she SHOULD be and where she WAS, but she is gone/missing. I had this same problem with the healer, a previous save fixed this one. I have reloaded numerous saves and still have the same problem with Kurttu.

The fix I have read about on the Interplay forum is to use the tool "Near Infinity" tool to edit the saved game to fix it. I have gotten the tool and looked at the saved game, but can't find the reason this is happening. I would be happy with just marking that quest complete if possible.

So, can anyone help me out here on what to do?

Well, I got it fixed.

Jist of it is you open your saved game with Near Infinity, find the area with the missing folks and delete it. After that just load the game up and they will be there. It isnt perfect, because it resets the whole area but your quests are still done and people remember talking to you. Just have to re-reveal it on the map.
