Warning! CPU has changed

I just finished building my pc:
Atlon XP 2500
DDR 512
ASUS A7n8X Deluxe
I power it on and I get the "Warning! CPU has changed" message in the post startup and it looks like the motherboard is not identifying the CPU correctly. At the top of the post screen I see the cpu and it identifies it as an 1100. How do I go about and change it to the right CPU? Thank You.

Was this a clean install of your OS or a hard drive swap?
Windows XP?

That is what he has AMD Athlon XP2500+.

Go into you BIOS and probably under Advance chipset set your clock speed to 166. You are probably running at 100 of 133

OK then, go into you BIOS set your clock speed to 166 and set your RAM timings to SPD. What RAM brand are you using?
