Gaming Photoshop: Undo!

the undo action in photoshop works just one step back, is it possible to set it higher? i tried to find something in the help file and the preferences but no luck!

anyone knows how?

not sure how to set 'undo' to a higher value

but what i do to overcome this problem is view the 'history' window and scroll back to the previous action that i want to get back to, and click on it.

the ctrl-z reaction never achieved the desired results in photoshop, used to drive me nuts till i figured out the history thing

have to try ctrl+alt+z, thanks for that willy

No problem guys. I'm not sure where you can change the shortcuts though.

I'm using version 6 and right under the undo in the drop down box there is step backwards that is usable after a change of some sort.

Ahh...undo...my favorite feature in photoshop(v.6)!!!

Try: Ctrl+K Or Edit -> Preferences -> General

You should get some options in there. I set my redo key to ctrl Y and history state to 100 and now I can undo my mistakes for quite some time by just holding in ctrl and hitting z.
