CANT INSTALL ANY OS

First my computer was being slow and stupid so I was like Why not I will just reinstall windows. So i Backed up my stuff. Went to put tmy xp cd in and it started to load. AND BLAM it said can not load some file.sys and it said the error code is 14. This happens when it tryes to load the kernal stuff. I have tryed XP NT 2K and long horn. XP and longhorn do the same thing. NT and 2k give me crap about not having a compatable bios. And I put a Hard drive fromanother computer that had xp on it and when I try to boot form it, it says boot from ideo 0 ok then it ususaly would boot up right wronge it just sits there. Anyone got any ideas?

Try taking out some RAM and attempting to install with just 1 stick...if it doesn't work try doing it with a seperate stick alone

OK I have been messin with the ram tonight. I will try it now update ya in a few.

You could have bad RAM...it's possible it wasn't installed perfectly though...try putting in another stick now and hope everything stays stable ... if it doesn't after you put a stick in, put it in alone and try booting the system.

What I did just before I tryedto reinstall is i swapped the slots fo my ram. It booted with one stick so I just put the stick back in the same place and it works great now. Thankz Urban Squrill OUT
