CAse Fan power

I have some case fans that I need to power up. The problem is, they aren't inside my case.

Don't even know where to start.

I'm hoping for something small/cheap.

Thanks!

run some 12v and 5v wires out of the case, and have a female molex end where you need to connect the fans...

if you want it to look cleaner, wrap it in electrical tape and put it in some wire loom

Darn. That is the only way? Now two more wire coming from the case.

Will two 120mm case fans run fine off of 1 molex connector? They would thus be in series so I don't know if this creates a voltage issue.

They are going into a seperate water-cooling box. Need Two 120mm fans on the radiator.

The box is about 2 feet away from the case.

you can use an old cell phone home power charger they are usually around 10 to 12 vdc or any other type of power transformer like it just cut off the phone end strip it and wire it up

Here's what I'm doing with mine to power the Fan and use the Relay Switch.

I'm going to mount a female to male molex adapter on the back of my case (female molex connector will be in the case, wired to a male which will actually mount to case) AND on the back of my external enclosure for the water cooling

Then I'm going to take off the 5+ feet excess power cord from my pump and wire the three leads into a female molex connector on both ends, so I can just plug them into the male ones on both cases.

From the male molex connector mounted to my w/c enclosure, I will run a power splitter, one set of leads will go to the relay, and the other will go to the fan.

you need a fan on the radaitor to cool it much like a cars radaitor these fans are usualy much larger than hs/f and slower rpm = a lot less noise
