Problem w/netgear router

Hello. Hopefully somebody here can help me, because the people at Dell and Netgear are as clueless as me. I have a netgear mr814v2 wireless router. Heres the problem. I can connect to the network wirelessly for about 30 minutes. After that, my notebook is disconnected. I am running XP and it automatically senses the network signal, but is unable to reconnect to it. The only way I can reconnect is to unplug the router and plug it back in. It then works fine for another 30m. Has anybody ever heard of this or have any suggestions? I would REALLY appreciate any help...Thanks

Outdoors

I have a Linksys BEFSR41 and have just started having a similar problem. The other boxes on my net show up, but I can't get to them, either path not found or I don't have sufficient permission.
I'm running Comcast cable in Pennsylvania. Resetting the router seems to help, then it loses the paths again. Hope someone has an answer...

Any 2.4ghz phones in the house? Mine will knock my wireless clean off the air. I have heard stories of Microwaves doing the same as well. Have you tried changing the channel that is uses?

No..I tried switching channels...it still doesn't work. I only have a 900Mhz phone in the house and the router is far from the microwave. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Try it , you'll like it !!! Sit in the backyard with my laptop and works great with all 5 computers on line. Got a re-certified for about $ 40.00 from Tiger Direct. Good luck.

I'm having this issue with a NetGear 614A. After about 60-120 minutes, it drops the wireless. I had a Linksys BEFW11S4 in the exact same spot for a year with no problems. The issue is at Level 2 tech support with NetGear right now.

Well......I followed pickel's advice. I returned the Netgear and bought the D-Link. I've been connected for 2 days straight with no problems......I'll be sure never to buy a Netgear again......their tech support told me it was my wireless card! Thanks for the help.

Level 2 told me my router is bad and they're sending a replacement. We'll see if this one works. If not, it's D-Link for me.
