after effects sound problem

i was wondering if anyone knew why i get clicking (or static?) noises as if someone was playing around with the speaker connections whenever i render the sound.... the mp3 i'm getting the sound from is fine... it's just when i play it through after effects... the noise even comes out when i do an audio preview through after effects

That static is when some of the volume coming out of the speakers is too high and hits the 'ceiling' so to speak. Try turning down the volume with After-Effects on.

i don't think that's the problem... the volume i never put too high... and i try different samples of the song.. and it happens in different areas of the song with each sample... besides that... they all sound perfecty fine with other players playing the music... thanx anyway though.. : )
