A7N8X prob

Hello all

i have a problem with a mobo that i made for a friend, see it goes like this first i advised him to buy a Epox 8rda+ motherboard but when i look at my homepage www.tweakers.net i saw that the asus motherboard came good, so i said to him buy instead of the Epox the asus a7n8x motherboard cuz at tweakers.net it was a recommended one , so we buyed also these stuffs below:
-ati radeon 9500 saphire
-amd athlon xp 2600+ (333 fsb)
-western digital 120 gb
-2 x dane elec (samsung chips on it) 256 mb 400
psu is 300 watt
MOTHERBOARD REVISION 1.06

the mobo didnt wanted to start with dual channel so i looked at asus site and finded there another bios update 1004 that said it also shows dual channel at postscreen so when i flahed it and reboot it, and i changed the memory clock to 200 mhz and change and exit, at the post screen it said athlon is running at 1250 mhx with dual channel running at 100 mhx so i thought the i looked at asus website and there stood these qualified mem sticks so we changed the memorys sticks with corsair value 256 mb 400 so the postscreen tells us it is running dual chanel but at wcpuid it says memory clocks running at 167 mhx instead of 200 ?
can someone help me with hes experiense
long story but im newbie

first you want to run the memory insync with the cpu fsb , you will get better performance out of it when it is insync with the fsb . so set the memory in the bios to 100$ 167 is 333 (166x2=333) also the power supply might be a little small for this set up so that could be causeing problems also .
