For some reason my main pc stop connecting to the internet (All other pcs are working fine) and the network card is good.
I checked in networking neighborhood and it says my ip is something differnet then it was before (The Local ip is now 162.x instead of 192.x)
I'm using WinXP and a linksys router (Would i reset) on broadband cable (Which i also reset) and behind a D-link hub (which is working cause this pc is on)
I don't know what's wrong with it, any help would be nice
Oh yeah, i tried to /release and /renew the ip[, but said it couldn't connect to the DHCP server, so i dunno what's up when i have DHCP enabled on my router
post an ip config from the bad pc and one that works. You can't be getting a 162.x unless your nic is screwewd up or TCP/IP is wacked on that pc. Ive seen hubs get screwy also and need to be reset. Is the bad pc on the other side of the hub?
1. Try switching ports your connected to on the hub
2. Try swapping NIC's
3. Try resetting the hub and router.
4. Try rebooting the machine.
Any time your PC loses connection to the DHCP it will give you a bogus IP like 169.254.x.x
